                                                                  A Life We Cherish
On Thursday, November 18, 2021, our beloved Aquillo Henderson forsook the cares and pains of this world.  She journeyed into the path of eternal rest at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina.

Affectionately called "Hattie Mae", she was one of nine siblings born October 13, 1961 to the late Pastor Clarence Henderson, Sr. and First Lady, Willie C. Henderson.

At a very young age, Aquillo confessed Christ and became a baptized member of Zion Fair Baptist Church, Camp Branch Community of Varnville, South Carolina.  At Zion Fair, she served the body of Christ as a church usher.

Known for her candidacy, she spoke little, yet said much.  The joys of her life were watching television, playing Candy Crush, and being allowed to “take charge” of family matters.

Aquillo was a 1980 graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, South Carolina.  Striving for advancement in knowledge, she was awarded in 1983 an associate degree in business from the University of South Carolina, Salkehatchie Campus, Allendale, South Carolina.  Upon graduation, she became employed as a billings clerk at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina.  Aquillo subsequently accepted a position with the former Hampton County School District One, where she retired after twenty-seven years.  Her duties included payroll and office administration.  She enjoyed her work and was quite proficient in performing assigned duties.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were two sisters: Connie and Gloria Henderson; and one brother, Clarence Henderson, Jr.

The memories of our beloved sister, aunt and friend will forever be cherished by her siblings: Her fraternal twin, Paquillo Henderson and Bernard Henderson of the home, Margie H. Riddle, Evangelist Shirley H. (Ernie, Sr.) Washington,  all of Varnville, South Carolina and Reverend Barrien Delon Henderson of West Columbia, South Carolina; One sister-in-law, Eula Mae Henderson of Varnville, SC, Nieces and nephews: Bernard Alvin Riddle, Jr. of Capitol Heights, MD, Nicole Angelas (Ernest) Irby of Irmo, South Carolina, Karen Catina Riddle of Columbia, South Carolina, Ernie James (Virginia) Washington, Jr., of Varnville, South Carolina,  Shirlette Monique Washington of Hampton, South Carolina, Kendrell Deshawn Henderson of Varnville, South Carolina, Dion Alexander Riddle of Columbia, South Carolina, Amber Tishel Henderson of Fairfield, Connecticut, Makayla Amani Ray of Columbia, South Carolina, and Minette Brown of Fairfield, Connecticut and Ernest Nelson (Tre) Irby, III (her playmate) of Irmo, South Carolina; (4) Aunts: Pauline Davis of Varnville, South Carolina, Betty Lee of St. Louis, Missouri, Polly Moore and Betty Henderson, both of Varnville, South Carolina; Other relatives and friends.
