The Obituary

Minister Anthony George Doctor, 61, son of the late Mr. Rudolph and Mrs. Clara Doctor, was born February 03, 1961 in Hampton, South Carolina. 

He died Wednesday, March 08, 2022, at his residence in Varnville Area Housing, Varnville, South Carolina.  Minister Doctor was educated in the Hampton public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina.  

At an early age, he joined Antioch Christian Church, Varnville, South Carolina.  He could sing and would sing!  

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. Rudolph and Mrs. Clara Doctor; two brothers: Robert Lee Doctor and John Moore. Minister Doctor worked for Green Masonry and the Hampton County Recycling Facility (Camp Branch Location).  He had served the call of God as Pastor of Ashton Branch Christian Church, Lodge, South Carolina, and Three Mile Creek Christian Church, Ehrhardt, South Carolina. 

To cherish fond memories are (4) Sisters: Mrs. Gloria (Deacon Thomas) O’Banner of Early Branch, South Carolina, Ms. Vernell Allen, Mrs. Betty (Deacon Larry) Davis, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Ellen (Deacon John) Green, all of Varnville, South Carolina; (3) Brothers: Mr. Randolph (Tilea) Doctor of Columbia, South Carolina, Mr. Thomas Reid of Yemassee, South Carolina and Mr. Lazarus Reid of Early Branch, South Carolina; (5) Aunts: Ms. Betty Lee of St. Louis, Missouri, Ms. Betty Henderson, Ms. Pauline Davis, Ms. Polly Moore, and Mrs. Cenia Mae (Deacon Joe) Buckner all of Varnville, South Carolina; (2) Uncles: Pastor Thomas (Dorothy) Doctor and Mr. James Capers all of Varnville, South Carolina; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and sympathizing friends.
