Frankie Z. Johnson gained his wings on June 20, 2022 at his residence in Varnville, South Carolina.  Born March 15, 1948, Frankie was the son of the late Deacon Andrew Johnson and Mrs. Lorain Moore Johnson.  He attended the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina.

Frankie was united in marriage to the late Rumell Johnson.  In later years, he was joined in matrimony to the late Learlean Johnson.  Frankie was employed by the Hampton County Public Works Department as a truck driver and also as a self employed mechanic.  Frankie loved fishing and was a loving father to ten children.

Frankie Lee was preceded in death by his parents Andrew Johnson and Loraine Moore Johnson; his son: Frank Johnson and Frankie Johnson; one step daughter, Willa Mae Davis; one step-son, Reginald James; two brothers: Pastor Robert Johnson  and Chappell Johnson; a very special aunt, Mrs. Claudia Mae Greene.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his siblings: Thomas (Sylvia) Priester of Columbia, SC, Brenda Bryson of  Newark, NJ, Cedric (Monica) Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Carolyn Johnson of Cummings, SC, Elizabeth (Leon) Walker of Rincon, GA,  Victoria (Anthony) Wright of Huger, SC, Minister Diane Brooker of Summerville, SC, Arland Garrett of Ridgeland, SC, Bernard Johnson of Brunson, SC; His step-children: Margaret (Leroy) Williams, Rozzer Lee (Sherry) Davis, Albertha (Kenneth) Greene, Kenneth Davis, Willa (Lisa) Cochran, and Carla Cochran; brothers and sister-in-laws: Costa Lee Johnson, Shirley James, Cliffeon James, Ervin (Christa Lee) James, Annie James and Tommy Harold; his great aunts: Mrs. Margaret (Adam) Major of Varnville, SC and Gloria Joyner; a host of grandchildren; great grands; nieces; nephews; and loving relatives and friends; three special "brother-like friends: Louis Joyner, Eric Young and Chappell Doctor.
