Our mother, Sharon Evon McBride, was born on December 4th, 1963 in Mt. Vernon NY. She was the fourth and last child to Vernetha Boles-McBride and the late Evan McBride. Growing up in Mount Vernon, NY, Sharon was well known for her smile, style, and charisma.

Her parents instilled the love of the Lord unto their children. Sharon was taught to love and take care of her family.  In 1981, at an early age, she moved to Hampton, SC. Sharon graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1983.

She worked for 20 plus years as a cosmetologist. Later, she was employed with Georgia Pacific in Rincon, GA. Throughout her life, she never met a stranger. She was a dedicated mother and always there when we needed her. We thank her and celebrate all her contributions to her children’s and grandchildren’s life.

To mourn her homegoing and cherish fond memories are her children: Jonique McBride of Varnville, SC and Leslie Dickerson of Columbia, SC; Grandchildren: Bella Thompson, and Nyla Jenkins; Her sister, Velma Capers (Irvin) of Cummings, SC; Her brothers: Evangelist McBride (Joyce) of Cummings, SC and Philip McBride of Early Branch, SC; Aunt: Joyce Miles (Eddie) of Dale, SC; Her favorite uncle, Charlie Boles (Diane) of Early Branch, SC; Nieces: Chandrika McBride of Mount Vernon, NY and Jasmine McBride of Cummings, SC; Nephew: Meshack Capers (Jasmine) of Cummings, SC; A sister in love, Natalie McBride of NY; A host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
