Psalm 30:5 states that in the life of every believer, weeping would endure but a night.And though some nights only last for a couple of hours, others seem to span a lifetime.We are in the same verse given a promise that for every believer who leans upon theunfailing arm of the Almighty, joy is sure to come in the morning.
Morning came for Kathy Nanette Jackson. She received her reward of eternal joy on August 6, 2022, at Atrium Health University City, Charlotte, North Carolina. She departed from this mortal world and transitioned into eternal peace. Kathy was born August 6, 1970, a daughter of Deacon James Jackson and Sis. Catherine Gordon Jackson. At an early age, she joined and received religious instructions from New Castle Baptist Church, Pineland, South Carolina under the leadership of the late Reverend S. E. Betterson.
Kathy was a 1988 graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, South Carolina, class of 1988. She matriculated to the former Baptist College of Charleston, South Carolina where she majored in Business Administration. Kathy relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina and began her career as a paralegal for Cozen and O’Conner Law Firm. She was employed there for many years. She later became employed with and continued to work for the Bank of America.
Kathy enjoyed going to the gym, coming home to the with family and friends, going to the movies, and taking pictures. Her capturing smile, her calm and gentle manner, as well as her kindness and consideration shall always abide in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her.
To cherish memories and mourn her home going are: Her parents, Deacon and Mrs. James Jackson of Varnville, South Carolina; One brother, Javvis (Vivian Brown) Jackson of Darlington, South Carolina; Two step brothers: Jamie Crittington and Alexander (Tashia) Campbell, both of Varnville, South Carolina; One step sister, Tina (Eugene) Crittington of Varnville, South Carolina; Five aunts: Martha Dean Youmans of Hampton, South Carolina, Ida (Willie) Williams, Martha Garvin all of Varnville, South Carolina, Joanne (Sylvester) Ready of Pineland, South Carolina, and Daisy Black of Houston, Texas; Two uncles: Douglas Gibson, Sr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Raymond Jackson of Varnville, South Carolina; One nephew, Roman Jackson, Sr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; Three nieces: Alexis Campbell of Beaufort, South Carolina, Ta’sha Campbell of Nashville, Tennessee, and Kenya Mabry of Darlington, South Carolina; One great nephew, Roman Jackson, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; One great niece, Aleigh Campbell of Beaufort, South Carolina; Two special devoted cousins: Gregg (Julie) Gordon of Virginia and Douglas Gibson, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
