A LIFE WELL LIVED, A REST WELL EARNED

JULY 6, 1972- JULY 1, 2022

When peace like a river attendeth my way. When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say… It is well, it is well with my soul. 

Angela McQuire Bohles was born July 6, 1972 to Mr. Angus and Evangelist Elise McQuire in Hampton, South Carolina.  On the morning of July 1, 2022, she answered the Master’s call and quietly slipped away, exchanging time for eternity.

Angela received her formal education in the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina.  She was a 1990 graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, South Carolina.  She received a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Business Administration from Augusta State University, Augusta, Georgia. An advocate for education, Angela continued her studies at Gwinnett Technical College, Lawrenceville, Georgia.  In 2017, she earned an Associates in Science - Nursing Degree from Excelsior College.  In 2021, Angela accomplished her biggest dream of becoming an RN.  Upon completion of her studies, she worked dutifully at Emory Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. Since July, 2010, she was passionately employed with Personalized Primary Care of Atlanta, Georgia.

At an early age, Angela gave her life to the Lord and became a baptized member of Zion Fair Baptist Church, Camp Branch Community of Varnville, South Carolina.   On September 20, 1997, she married the love of her life, Mr. Rodney Leonard Bohles. This union was blessed with four beautiful children: three daughters and one son.

Angela was a servant that did not’t mind sharing her gifts of help and health.  She served faithfully on The Healthy Temple Ministry of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church. She served as the lead for the BGR (Black Girl Run) of Lithonia, and she proudly serve as a member of Iota Zeta Sigma Alumnae Chapter.  Angela was an avid reader who spent countless hours reading novels from some of her favorite authors.  Her love for reading led her to become a member of the Sistah Friend Book Club and the Indie Loves Book Club. 

She leaves to mourn and cherish wonderful memories her loving husband of twenty-four years, Rodney Leonard Bohles of Lithonia, Georgia; three loving daughters: She`brie (Carlos) Jones of Covington, Georgia, Meghan Simone Bohles of Pooler, Georgia and Madison Kiara Bohles of the home; one loving and very special son, Rodney L. Bohles, Jr. (RJ) of the home; three grandsons: Carlos Jones Jr (CJ), Colby Drew Jones and Cannon Drake Jones all of Covington, Georgia.

Her Parents,  Angus and Evangelist Elise McQuire of Varnville, South Carolina; two sisters: Pastor Tonya McQuire of Hampton, South Carolina and Tinie (Lorenzo) Chatman of Hopkins, South Carolina; one adopted brother, Darnell (Cassandra) Harley of Yemassee, South Carolina; her mother-in-law, Charlene Jenkins of Decatur, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Machelle Brooker of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Six Aunts: Thelma (Deacon Mervin) Coker, Sr. of Varnville, South Carolina, Mildred (Willie) Albany of Allendale South Carolina, Catherine McQuire and Edna Ray McQuire, both of Varnville, South Carolina, Barbara Tookes of Atlanta, Georgia, Susie Brown of Decatur, Georgia and a very special aunt, more like her second mother, Retha Mae McQuire of Varnville, South Carolina; one great aunt, Vera Mae Campbell of Varnville, South Carolina; three uncles:  Jerome (Cora) Smith of Blythewood, South Carolina, Elmer (Pauline) McQuire of Varnville, South Carolina and Delano (Aquilla) McQuire of Blythewood, South Carolina.

Her six special friends: Denise Orr, Leslie W. James, Cindy Sanders Rhodes, James L. Dunbar, Kimberly Jenkins- Ellis and Venessa Bullard-Carr.

Angela had a lot of love, care and compassion etched deep in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews whom she called her own children. And, she loved all of her beloved cousins in her own special way.
