Mrs. Rumell D. Johnson, affectionately known as “Bud”, lived seventy-three (73) years, eleven (11) months, and twenty-four (24) days. She was born in Miley Community of Hampton, South Carolina to the late Mr. Williams Henry Davis and Mrs. Janie Thompson Davis. Mrs. Johnson was called from labor to reward at her residence on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 while under the care of AGAPE Hospice.
Seeking divine guidance, she joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cummings, South Carolina. Early in life, she was employed as a domestic worker. Later in life, she enjoyed working with home health. Her hobbies included fishing, cooking, and gardening.
Preceding her in death was: Her daughter, Mrs. Willa Mae Davis; Siblings: Mrs. Larcenia Capers, Mrs. Mary L. Horton, Mrs. Alfredia Jones, Mrs. Betty Davis, and Mr. Donnell Young; One granddaughter, Miss Aretha Davis.
She is forever loved by her husband, Mr. Frankie L. Johnson, Varnville, South Carolina; (6) Children: Mrs. Margaret (Mr. Leroy) Williams, Deacon Rozzer L. (Mrs. Sherry) Davis and Mrs. Albertha (Mr. Kenneth) Greene, all of Cummings, South Carolina, Mr. Kenneth L.
