Minister Brooker T. Terry, Sr., the son of the late William Terry, Sr. and Birdie Green Terry was born January 7, 1945 in Early Branch, S.C. An angel interrupted their heavenly duties on Saturday, August 16, 2014 and made a visit to 200 Boles Road, Early Branch, South Carolina. It bore the bright spirit of Minister Brooker T. Terry, Sr.
Minister Brooker T. Terry, Sr. attended the public schools of Hampton County, S. C.
At an early age, he confessed Christ and joined several churches of the Baptist denomination. He subsequently joined Greater Harvest C.O.G.I.C., Early Branch, S. C.
On July 2, 1995, Minister Brooker T. Terry, Sr. was united in marriage to Evangelist Odessa Lively Terry.
Minister Brooker T. Terry, Sr. was gainfully employed by Carrier Corporation of Syracuse, New York for nine years. Thereafter, he became an entrepreneur. He was a man of many trades: carpentry, construction, electrician, plumber, auto mechanic, and many more. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, shrimping, and gardening. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Minister Terry was preceded in death by: Three brothers: Groover and Timothy Terry and Wattie Capers; Four sisters: Margaret Terry Capers, Hazel Terry Hamilton, Bertha Ann Terry Middleton, and Roberta Terry Dunbar.
He leaves to cherish everlasting memories: His wife, Evangelist Odessa L. Terry of Early Branch, South Carolina; The mother of his children, Ms. Carolyn King of Syracuse, New York; Two Daughters: Cheryl Terry Conley (Erick) of Orlando, Florida, and Latisha Terry (Gerald Griffin) of Syracuse, New York; Two sons: LaShawn D. Terry (Patricia) of Manassas, Virginia, and Brooker T. Terry, II of Early Branch, S. C; Two other children were reared as his own: Taronda and James Hall, both of Early Branch, S.C.; Two brothers: William Terry (Ester) of Early Branch, S.C. and Lester Terry (Evelina) of Syracuse, New York; Aunts; Uncles; Nine grandchildren; Four great grandchildren; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
