Pastor Lula Mae Haynes, daughter of the late Deacon Horace Mole and Pastor Mary Heyward Mole, was born January 9,1945 in Hampton County, South Carolina. Pastor Lula M. Haynes went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, South Carolina, following a short illness.
She received her education in the Colleton County School System.
On November 17,1963, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Daniel Haynes. This union was blessed with four daughters, two sons, and one stepson. Pastor Haynes was employed as a housekeeper in Hilton Head, South Carolina and performed other work as a caregiver for many years.
She was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost on July 6,1979. Pastor Haynes would often share her testimony of how God healed her body of a nerve condition many years ago. She was called and ordained by God to preach the gospel and later became pastor of True Holiness Apostolic Faith Church Inc. of Islandton, South Carolina. Her motto for the ministry was "Building Disciples for Christ". Pastor Haynes would spend much time in prayer, interceding for her family, friends, and all who needed prayer. She enjoyed reading her Bible, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and spending time with family and friends.
Pastor Haynes was highly respected and loved by many. She was very classy and will be remembered as a kind, loving, and compassionate women of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Daniel Haynes; a grandson, Roderrick Frazier; father-in-law and mother in law, Dan and Izola Haynes; sister-in-law, Mother Mary Lou Johnson; and, brother-in-law, David Mickle, Sr.
Cherishing her loving memory are: her children: Maxine Haynes of the home; Laverne (Darin) Williams of Varnville, South Carolina, Deacon Terry (Mae Lynn) Haynes of Islandton, South Carolina, Deacon Willie Joe (Ada Marie) Haynes of Lurary, South Carolina, Melissa (Elder Franklyn) Ruth of Varnville, South Carolina, Evangelist Linda (Elder Christopher) Singleton of Islandton, South Carolina, Johnny Mims (step-son) of Varnville, South Carolina, and a grandson reared as her own, Elder Aaron D. Haynes of the home; Adopted daughters: Sheral (Minister Calvin) Johnson of Hemmingway, South Carolina, Pearl (James) Ellis of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Lisa (Elder Roosevelt) Ham of Varnville, South Carolina; Siblings: Deacon Willard (Jessie) Mole of Islandton, South Carolina, twin sister, Missionary Beulah Mickle of Nixville, South Carolina, Oneal (Teacher Georgia Mae) Mole of Islandton, South Carolina; brothers-in-law, Francis (Addie) Haynes of Nixville, South Carolina, Arline Murdaugh of New Jersey, Gerald (Lois) White of Miley, South Carolina, and Donald (Brenda) Haynes; twenty six grandchildren; Fifteen great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
