The Obituary

“Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down
out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband.” Revelations 21:2;

 

Lyndon Joyner, affectionately known as “Wally”, was born on March 31, 1960 in Walterboro (Colleton County), South Carolina to the late Mr. Freddie Joyner, Sr. and Mrs. Louise Jamison Joyner.  He surrendered in death on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, South Carolina. 

He attended the public schools of Colleton County, South Carolina and worked for many years as a diesel mechanic and logger.  At an early age, Lyndon accepted Christ and become a member of Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Islandton, South Carolina.  

“Wally” loved people and enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.    

He was predeceased by his beloved parents; his siblings: Mr. Freddie (Mary Ann) Joyner, Jr., Ms. Louvenia Joyner, Mr. Thomas Joyner, Mrs. Mildred (Levon) Scott,     Mr. Donald (Sharon) Joyner and Mrs. Elverta (Harvey) Lewis; and his nephews: Mr. Andre Joyner and Mr. Michael Joyner.  

Lyndon’s memory will be forever cherished by his daughter, Ms. Felecia Simmons; his sons: Mr. Maurice Buckner and Master Raequon Joyner;  two grandchildren; sisters: Ms. Juanita J. Richardson, Mrs. Carolyn (Larry) Capers, Ms. Betty A. Joyner, Mrs. Joyce (Rickey) Bowman and Ms. Gale Joyner; brother, Mr. Larry (Sylvia) Joyner.  “Wally” will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews (including two devoted nephews: Mr. Jermaine Capers and Mr. Troy Capers), other relatives and friends.            


The family of the late Mr. Lyndon “Wally” Joyner expresses their sincere gratitude to you for all the prayers and expressions of sympathy extended  during this difficult time.  Their prayer is that God’s abundant blessings continue to be showered upon you.
