The Obituary
Janis Maree B. Wrice was born on September 25, 1955, to Jennive Moore and the late Robert Lee Moore. She departed this life on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Memorial Health Hospital, Savannah, Georgia.

At an early age Janis joined Hickory Hill United Methodist Church located in Smoaks, South Carolina. She served the body of Christ faithfully until her health failed. Janis met and was united in holy matrimony to Clarence Wrice. To this union, three children were born.

Janis was a graduate of Ruffin High School, Ruffin, South Carolina. After graduation, she furthered her education in the field of cosmetology at Denmark Technical College, Demark, South Carolina. For thirty-five years, Janis was gainfully employed by the Colleton County School District as a school bus driver.

She leaves a light of love and beauty that will shine brightly in the heart of her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
To cherish her memories and mourn her departure are her husband, Clarence Wrice of Varnville, South Carolina;  (3) children: Tawanda Wrice of Varnville, South Carolina, Perish Wrice (Mary) of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Clarence C. Wrice (Latrisha) of Estill, South Carolina; her mother, Jennive B. Tyler; a special god-daughter, Renee Brown of Bamberg, South Carolina; (14) Grandchildren; (22) Great grandchildren; (2) Sisters: Dustrella Brunson and Avis Banks; (2) Brothers:  Robert Moore of Bamberg, South Carolina and James Moore (Margert) of Columbia, South Carolina; a very special cousin whom she loved dearly, Shirley Robinson (Walter) of Bamberg, South Carolina; (3) Sisters-in-law: Pandrea Wrice of Varnville, South Carolina, Mary Ann Wrice of Walterboro, South Carolina and Verlinda Mosley of Smoaks, South Carolina; (3) Brothers-in-law: Allen Williams of Camp Branch, South Carolina, Jerome Mosley of Smoaks, South Carolina and Richard Wrice of Varnville, South Carolina; and, a host of other relatives and friends.
