The Obituary
Evangelist Judy Stewart, the loving wife of Deacon Luther Ed Stewart was a woman of God, a devoted godmother, sister, friend, and inspiration to all who knew her.

Judy was born on May 20, 1959, in Hampton County, South Carolina, to the late Henry and Katherine Lyons Wright.  She was the eldest sister of 10 siblings.  Judy went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, 21st of August 2021 at Roper Hospital, Charleston, South Carolina.

Judy was educated in the Hampton County public school system, a graduate of Wade Hampton High School “Class of 1977”, Varnville, South Carolina.  She furthered her education at the Atlanta Medical School and was a Medical Secretary at Hampton General Hospital, Varnville, South Carolina.

Evangelist Stewart was a devoted and faithful messenger and prayer warrior for the Lord, spreading God’s word by preaching with fervor, boldness, and strength.  She was a faithful member of Christ Church the Deliverance Temple of God, Varnville, South Carolina where she was a preaching machine in the pulpit and on her phone.

On April 11, 1981, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Deacon Luther Ed Stewart.  She was a devoted wife for over 40 years.  Judy loved her husband with a full heart.

As a godmother, Evangelist Stewart loved and cherished her many godchildren whom she taught the Word of God through her life living.

She loved her family and expressed that love through her devotion, prayers, laugher, generosity, and many great family meals.  She loved to cook and gather with her family and friends. Her delicious, candied jams, chewy cake and collard greens will be greatly missed.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Bennie and Jessie Wright.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: her beloved husband, Deacon Luther Ed Stewart of Varnville, SC; her siblings: Elder Charles H. Wright of Varnville, SC, James M. Wright (Sherri) of Wilmington, DE, Steve A. Wright of Euless, TX, Alice Gordon (Wilbur) of Nixville, SC, John G. Wright (Terry) of Estill, SC, Pastor German Wright (Sandra) of Columbia, SC, Kenneth A. Rogers-Wright (Reuel) of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth S. Wright and Patrick L.
