The Biography

Evangelist (Co-Pastor) Martha Green, born March 31, 1934, to the late Mr. David J. Taylor and Mrs. Irene McClinton Taylor, sojourned from labor to reward on Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Charles Hospital, Port Jefferson, New York.

Evangelist Green resided in the state of New York.  She relocated to South Carolina and was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Bishop Woodrow Green Sr.

She was a faithful wife and servant of the Lord.  While living in South Carolina, she worshiped and served at Bethel Holiness Church, Varnville, South Carolina. After returning to New York, Evangelist Green worshipped at Emmanuel Pentecostal Faith, where she was ordained as co-pastor.   Her words of wisdom and love inspired all who were blessed to know her.

To mourn her home going, yet cherish her memories, are her children:  Mark (Gleneese) Willis and David Willis, all of Easton, PA., Nathan Willis of Bronx, New York, Kathy Jefferson of Long Island, New York, Deacon Woodrow (Evangelist Patricia) Green of Greenville, SC, Minister Jonathan (Charlene) Green and Eugene Green, all of Newark, New Jersey, John (Mary Ellen) Green of Varnville, SC, Pastor Benjamin Green of Hampton, SC, Pastor Doris Singleton of Varnville, SC, Evangelist Gloria (Boaz) Stuppard, Jacksonville, FLA, Pearline (Ben) Heyward, Hampton, SC, Gwen (Marion) Ellis, Augusta, GA and Janice O'Bannard, Yemassee, SC; Grandchildren: Melissa Willis, Amanda Willis, Kayla Willis, Davion Willis, Joyne Jefferson, Isaac Jefferson, and a host of other grandchildren; Great grandchildren: Justin, Jason, Josiah, Kelly, and a host of other great grandchildren; (1) Sister, Dolly Douglass of Queens, New York; Other relatives and friends.
