Mr. Melvin Roberson Sr., the son of the late Jack Roberts and Lizzie Mae Drayton Roberts, was born July 2, 1935.  He was called to reward on Monday morning, February 23, 2015 at Allendale County Hospital, Fairfax, South Carolina.

He was educated in the public schools of Allendale County, South Carolina and had been gainfully employed with Brooks Logging Company, Estill, South Carolina.

Mr. Melvin Roberson Sr. attended Brantley Temple of God’s Holiness Church in Millen, GA.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Viola G. Roberson.  To this union were nine children born, five of whom preceded him in death.

To cherish loving memories and mourn our loss are: (2) Daughters: Ethel Whitney of Estill, South Carolina, and Evangelist Bertha (Elder Douglas) Jones of Fairfax, South Carolina; (2) Sons: Johnnie and Melvin Robinson Jr., both of Luray, South Carolina; (2) Sisters: Reatha Mae Roberts of Fairfax, South Carolina, and Betty Fountain of Hawkinsville, Georgia; (1) Brother-in-law, Rev. Oliver Gadson of Brooklyn, New York; (7) Grandchildren; (5) Great Grandchildren; (4) Nieces; (2) Nephews; A host of other relatives and caring friends.
