Mr. Onnie Lee Williams, 72, affectionately known to most as “Dute”, was born December 31, 1941 to the late Mr. Dave & Eva Wright Williams.  He was summoned from earth’s toils to labor on Tuesday morning, November 11, 2014 at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina.

Onnie Lee was a graduate of the former North District Training School, Varnville, South Carolina.   At  a young age,  he  became a baptized member of Harmonia  Missionary Baptist Church under  the  pastorate  of the late Reverend  E.  W. Williams.

He was a retired employee of CSX Railroad where he had been gainfully employed for over twenty-eight years.  Upon retirement, he became owner and operator of  Williams Lawn Care & Trash Disposal Company.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents are: one brother, Rayfield Williams; and one sister, Ada Mae Williams.

To remember the joys of his life are: One son, James  Cohen(Tonja) of Allendale, South Carolina; One daughter, Melissa Owens of Bronx, New York; Three sisters:  Tescora Williams of Varnville, South Carolina, Evelena Terry (Lester) of Syracuse, New York, and Ethel Lee Johnson (Roosevelt) of Early Branch, South Carolina;  Two aunts: Mary Wright  of Jacksonville, Florida and Missionary Emma Wright of Varnville, South Carolina;  One sister-in-law,  Dollie Mae Williams  of  Greensboro, North Carolina; Nieces, nephews,  other relatives and  caring friends.
