Mr. Willie S. Olden, Jr.

Hampton, South Carolina—Funeral service for Mr. Willie S. Olden, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery. Elder Charles Wright is the Eulogist of the hour.

Wake service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016  from 6-8 p.m.  Washington’s Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.


Mr. Willie S. Olden, Jr. was born on January 16, 1966 to the late Mr. Willie Olden and Mrs. Lillie Mae Morris.  He departed this life Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Long Island Jewish Medical Center Hospital, New Hyde Park, New York.   

 

Mr. Willie S. Olden, Jr. was a graduate of Martin Luther King High School in New York.

 

He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church located in Brooklyn, New York, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Shaun J. Lee. 

 

Willie was gainfully employed for sixteen years by the State of New York Development Center, Brooklyn, New York.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

To cherish loving memories are: (2) Brothers: Mr. Lee Edward Morris (Bessie) of Varnville, South Carolina, and Mr. Anthony Olden of Brooklyn, New York; His fiancée, Ms. Ruthie Grant of Brooklyn, New York; (4) Uncles: Deacon Frankie L. Morris, and Deacon Junior L. Smalls both of Varnville, South Carolina, Deacon Olden Morris of Islandton, South Carolina, and Mr. Willie D. Morris of Augusta, Georgia; (5) Aunts: Mrs. Rosa L. Smalls and Missionary Plandy Morris, both of Varnville, South Carolina, Evangelist Gloria Morris of Islandton, South Carolina, Mrs. Vermell Morris of Estill, South Carolina, and a special aunt, Ms. Mary Ann Morris of Brooklyn, New York; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
