Mr. Danny Joe Green, son of the late Ms. Dorothy Green, was born in Hampton County, South Carolina, February 17, 1956. He departed this life on Sunday, June 12, 2016 while at Colleton Regional Medical Center, Walterboro, South Carolina.
At an early age, Danny Joe confessed Christ and joined Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church, Varnville, South Carolina. At Samaritan, he served faithfully until his health began to fail. Danny Joe was past President of the Samaritan Baptist Church Usher Board, a title he held faithfully.
He was educated in the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina.
Fond memories of Danny are left to his family. There are five sisters: Mrs. Vivian Newton, Ms. Johnnie Mae Green, Mrs. Mazie Ree Frazier, Mrs. Brenda (Bobby) Grant, and Ms. Diane Williams, all of Varnville, South Carolina; A niece reared as a sister, Mrs. Shirley (Harry) Mole of Charleston, South Carolina; Two brothers: Mr. Charles (Florrie) Williams and Mr. Ulysee Green, all of Varnville, South Carolina; A nephew reared as a brother, Mr. Anthony (Brandi) Williams of Aurora, Colorado; An aunt, Mrs. Sadie Green of Estill, South Carolina; Several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
