The Obituary

Richmond Mitchell, the son of Richmond (Lakeesh) Brown and Elizabeth (Tony) Gant, was born on December 27, 1985 in Hampton County, South Carolina.   Richmond Mitchell departed this life on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Estill, SC.

Richmond received his primary education in the public schools of Hampton County.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Richmond Brown, Sr. and his maternal grandfather, John Isham.

Richmond leaves cherishing memories to loving daughters: Davinity Roberts of Estill, South Carolina and Maleiyah Ginn of Nixville, South Carolina;A devoted friend of thirteen years, Justine Roberts of Estill, South Carolina; His parents: Richmond (Lakeesh) Brown of Estill, South Carolina and Elizabeth (Deacon Tony) Gant of Fairfax, South Carolina; (2) brothers: Antonio Gant and Clifford Gant, both of Estill, South Carolina; His grandparents, Thomas (Rosa) Drayton of Estill, South Carolina and Nora Brown, Estill, South Carolina; (8) Uncles: Barry Hutchinson and Dashawn Carter , both of Gifford, South Carolina, Wesley (Lakeisha) Isham of Augusta, Georgia, Sam (Florine) Brown, Kenneth (LaFrenchie) Brown, Mikell (Sylvia) Brown, Timothy Brown, and Charles Brown, all of Estill, South Carolina; (15) aunts: Dianne Brown, Patricia Brown, Carmen Brown, Nora (Sonny) Solomons, Tina Isham, and Tammy Mitchell all of Estill, South Carolina, Sharon Drayton, Gloria Drayton, and Vermell Drayton all of Estill, South Carolina, Bonita Drayton, Benita Drayton, and Cathy Drayton, all of Columbia, South Carolina,  Linda (Luther) Gant of Estill, South Carolina, Wanda Brown of Allendale, South Carolina, and Gwendolyn Cohen of Valdosta, Georgia; A host of devoted cousins: which includes special cousins Kentravia Brown, Nigeria Drayton and Keith Brown; and many loving friends, which includes a “best” friend, D’angelo Gadson.
