Mrs. Margaret Donaldson Gadsden was born on November 10, 1929 in Bamberg County, South Carolina to the late Mr. James Donaldson, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Harley Donaldson.  She departed this life Friday, January 27, 2017 at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, South Carolina. 

At an early age, she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Lees, South Carolina where she remained a faithful member until her health declined. 

She retired after twenty-six (26) years of service with the Blackville Public School System. 

Mrs. Margaret Donaldson Gadsden was married to the late Mr. Harold E. Gadsden, Sr.; to this union, two children were born, the late Mr. Harold Donaldson, Jr. and Ms. Margret Ann Gadsden.  There was also one adopted son who preceded her in death, Mr. Clay Lee Young. 

In addition to her parents and children, four (4) sisters and three (3) brothers welcomed her at the pearly gates. 

Survivors include (6) Grandchildren: Shaneka (Bill) Deloach, Alisha Joyner, Andre Gadsden, Davon (Kizzy) Joyner, Eric Brown, and Andrew D. Smith; (18) Great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
