The Obituary

Eugene Garvin was born January 24, 1952 to Mrs. Elease Fuller Garvin and the late Mr. Bennie Lewis Myers.  On Saturday, March 25, 2017, our beloved Eugene was called from labor to reward.

Eugene was educated in the public schools of Allendale County, South Carolina.  He had been employed for numerous employers, most recently with Cullen’s Lumber Company of Allendale, South Carolina.

He was married to the late Mrs. Etta Mae Haynes Fennell.  He will be sorely missed by those who love him.

Preceding him in death in addition to his father and wife was one brother, Ruby Garvin, Jr.

To cherish his memory and mourn his home going are three children: Tia Frederick (Motrell) and Tio Frederick, both of Allendale, South Carolina and Donovan Garvin; Six grandchildren; His mother, Elease F. Garvin of Fairfax, South Carolina; Six brothers: Ned Myers (Joyce) of Beaufort, South Carolina, Wally Garvin (Lavern) of Allendale, South Carolina, Robert Lee Garvin (Annie) of Varnville, South Carolina, Johnny Garvin (Brenda) of Hampton, South Carolina, Arthur Miller (Myrna) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Robert Miller (Meaka) of Jacksonville, Florida; An adopted sister, Lola Housey (caregiver of Elease Garvin) of Fairfax, South Carolina; Two uncles: Ernest Reid (Jewel) and Johnny Lee Fuller, all of Miami, Florida; His mother-in-law, Ms. Ida Mae Haynes of Varnville, South Carolina; Four brothers-in-law; Four sisters-in-law; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
