Deacon Eugene Welch was born on October 29, 1964 in Auburn, Alabama to the late Betty Louis Welch and Willie Lee Welch, Sr. Deacon Welch was summoned from earthly toils at Hampton Regional Medical Center on Thursday, July 6, 2017.
He was educated in the public schools of Auburn, Alabama.
Deacon Eugene Welch, while living in Augusta, Georgia, was a member of Full Gospel Church of Augusta, Georgia and subsequently, New Creation Church of Augusta, Georgia. Upon relocation to Hampton County, he became a member of Bethel Holiness Church, Camp Branch Community of Varnville, South Carolina and most recently New Abundant Life Church of Varnville, South Carolina.
On May 29, 2004, Deacon Welch married the former Ms. Shirley Moore.
He was employed as a transportation driver by Alon-Jay Transportation, Allendale, South Carolina.
The joy of his life was working on cars.
