Shewanna Nakia White was born in Hampton, South Carolina to Ms. Sheila White and Mr. Hulester Bing, Jr. on December 25, 1976.  She departed from her earthly home on August 4, 2017 at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina.  

Shewanna was a member of Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Church, Estill, South Carolina. In 1996, she graduated from Estill High School, Estill, South Carolina where she played basketball and volleyball. She furthered her education at Voorhees College, Denmark, South Carolina, where she received her Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Criminal Justice. 

“Bird and Shootie”, as she was known, loved to cook; and she started working at Gator’s Barbecue of Estill, South Carolina.  She subsequently worked at Wal-Mart, Bobops, Maggie’s Seafood and Publix (Hardeeville) until her illness.    

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Rev. Henry and Mrs. Etta Mae White, Hulester, Sr. and Luteley Bing; her brother, Malik Goodwater; and her sister, Melissa Wright. 

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her loving mother, Ms. Sheila White of the home; Her father, Mr. Hulester (Mrs. Louveia) Bing; Her caring step-father, Mr. Ernest Bostick; Her sisters: Laquetta (Greg) Graves, Denise (Jamie) Orr, Kowanna (Omar) Clemons, Lavisha (Donte) Youmans, Shataye Goodwater, and Shamekia (Fred) Wright; Her brothers: Ernest Morris, Fredrick Bostick, Kendrick (Sharon) Bostick, Quinte White, Anthony Wright, Brock Wright, Marcus Alston, and Hulester Bing, III; Her aunts: Carrie Williams, Maggie (George) Range, Lease (Gene) Ginn, Bernice (Cornell) Graves, Brenda (Clayton) Williams, Alfreda (Rufus) Gordon, Jackie S. Williams, Luteley (Bronco) Bostick, Annie Bing, Oevia Bing, Marlene Hughes, Brenda Reed, Melissa Bing, Stacy Bing, and Bridget Washington; Her uncles: Henry (Patricia) White, Tracy Bing, and Travis Devore; Godparents: Janie Mae and Thomas Russell; Special Nieces and Nephew: Javashia Morris, Lyla Jones, Quamir White; Special friends: Tijwana Flagg, Tonya Robinson, Alisha Johnson, Tiesha Gibson, Sharon Tyson, Londa Blake, Latavver Williams, Quincy Cohen, and Quinton Alston; Two god-daughters: Ta’Kiya Mitchell and Tyliah Wright; A special little helper, Chase Young; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-sisters, god-brothers and friends.
