Ms. Jennie Lee, daughter of the late Sarah Roberts and Hayward Bing, was born on December 2, 1951.  At home, On Thursday, July 6, 2017, Jennie answered the Lord’s call to eternal rest. 

Jennie attended Estill Training School in Estill, South Carolina.  She was a baptized member of First Thankful Baptist Church, Estill, South Carolina, where she served on the First Thankful Baptist Senior Choir.

She was employed at Burlington Industries and Sara Lee Sock Company of Barnwell, South Carolina for over thirty-eight (38) years.  She earned her CNA (certified nursing assistant) Certificate and worked as a CNA for Morningstar.

She was preceded in death by Ernest Beard and companion David Roberts; two brothers: Walter Roberts and David Roberts.

Her memories will forever be cherished by her husband, Robert Lee of Greenville, South Carolina; Three daughters: Olympia (Chris) Solomon of Estill, South Carolina, Renate Beard-Housey of Greenville, South Carolina, and Washkie (John) Toney of Barnwell, South Carolina; Two sons: Kevin Lee of Brunson, South Carolina and Keith Lee of New York; Two sisters: Jessie Noble of Newport News, Virginia and Lillian (Arthur) Brown of Havelock, North Carolina; Two brothers: Charles (Shirley) Roberts and Leroy (Ethel) Roberts, all of Furman, South Carolina; Seven granddaughters: ShaiQuester Beard-Housey, Markesha Housey and Amber Housey all of Greenville, South Carolina, Denesha Toney and Renee Toney, both of Barnwell, South Carolina, Sha’Nyria Lee and Aubree Lee, both of Brunson, South Carolina; Five grandsons: Ronnie Gibson of Columbia, South Carolina, Christopher Demon Marshall of Fairfax, South Carolina, Justin Solomon, Christopher Solomon and Nigel Solomon, all of Furman, South Carolina; One god-son, Gabriel Ward of Greenville, South Carolina; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
