Mr. Caldwell Brown was born December 16, 1950 to the late Charles Brown, Sr. and Alfreda Felder Brown.  God called Caldwell home on Monday, January 16, 2017 while inpatient at Charlie Norwood Veterans Administration Facility, Augusta, Georgia. 

He attended the public schools of Barnwell County, South Carolina.  At an early age, Caldwell became a baptized member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Blackville, South Carolina.  He served the body of Christ as a faithful member of the Trustee Board for numerous years.  Caldwell enlisted in the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged. 

Caldwell was gainfully employed by and a retiree of Barnwell Housing Authority #3, Barnwell, South Carolina. 

To mourn his home going and cherish  memories are: (3) Daughters: Vernette Parks of Douglasville, Georgia, Carnelle Brown of Columbia, South Carolina, and Shawnte Brown of Blackville, South Carolina; (4) Sons: Travis Johnson and David Owens, both of Barnwell, South Carolina, Lamont Brown of Daytona Beach, Florida, and James Saxton of Blackville, South Carolina; (9) Grandchildren; (11) Great grandchildren; (8) Sisters: Ruth Watford, Brenda Brown, Linda (Derrick) Jones, and Joanne (Chris) Izlar, all of Blackville, South Carolina, Shirley Hunter and Jessie Mae Davis, both of Barnwell, South Carolina, Jackie (James) Chambers of Columbia, South Carolina, and Marion Brown of New York; (2) Aunts: Luella Thomas of Blackville, South Carolina and Alma Jackson of Aiken, South Carolina; (1) Brother-in-law, Walter Sabb of North Carolina; A special friend, Michelle Caldwell of Barnwell, South Carolina; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
