Obituary
Hue Melvin "Bubba" Wright was born on May 4, 1935, to the late Willie Eugene Wright and the late Manerva Williams Wright in Varnville, South Carolina.  His father remarried Emma (Momma Emma) L. Wright, whom he loved and cherished as his mom to his last days.

He later moved to Brooklyn, New York where he raised his children and retired as a Die Cutter at Thrift Die Company.  Bubba's life was marked by love, and a passion for music and cadillacs.
Bubba was preceded in death by three beloved wives: Mary Hayes Wright, Jean Steele Wright, and Dale Wright.  He was also preceded by his daughter, Dorothy Hayes; and his sons: Harold "Lil Bubba" (Emma) Hayes, and Zonell Wright.  Although they are no longer with us, their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved them.
He leaves to mourn his passing two sons: Melvin Anthony (Maxine) Wright of New York and Frankie (Lumisha) Campbell of South Carolina.  He is also survived by two daughters: Margaret Ann Wright and Arena Christine Wright, both of New York.  Bubba was a cherished grandfather to nineteen grandchildren: Evelyn, Anthony, Zonell, Melanie, Donnell, Ianthe, Shawn, Amanda, Quinanna, Quinton, Eugene, Tanazia, Shyanne, Shaquanna, Terrance, Melvin Jr., Sha-Tanya, Demira, and Tremel.
His legacy continues with twenty-five great grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew, Mark, Robert, Alexia, Kai, Nathaniel, Thailer, Jason, Jeaniee, S'vynn, Xaiver, Christopher, Dekoda, Li'eo, Melissa, Iymesha, Ijaanae, Destiny, Davine, Jordan, Alexis, Amir, Zayden, and Kianna.. Bubba's family extended far and wide; and his love reached across generations.
He is survived by five sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Halimah (Mr. Hasan) Mulwakkil of  New Jersey, Mrs. Deloris Capers of South Carolina, Mrs. Ann (Mr. Michael) Griffith of South Carolina, and Mrs. Kezia  Fennell of South Carolina, Mr. Melvin (Mrs. Barbara) Glover of New York, and Deacon John E. (Mrs. Corine) White of South Carolina. His family was his rock and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He touched the lives of many with his warmth, generosity, and love.  His legacy lives on through the memories he created and the love he shared with his family and friends.
As we say our final goodbyes to Bubba, let us remember the love and laughter, and music that filled his life.  He will forever be in our hearts, and his memory will continue to inspire us as we celebrate a life well-lived.
