Sarah Frances Williams Harrison was born on January 3, 1938, and departed this life on Thursday, September 19, 2019.  Sarah was a native of Varnville, South Carolina, born to the late Mr. Henry and Mrs. Eva Mae Williams.

She was educated in the Hampton County Public School System; and was an employee of the former B. C. Moore’s of Hampton, South Carolina.  She enjoyed volunteering in the Hampton County Veterans Affairs Office.  She was a faithful member of Blunt Chapel C.M.E. Church, where she served as a missionary, stewardess, Sunday School superintendent and teacher.  For many years, she drove neighborhood children to Sunday School.  Moreover, Christian Education was an important staple in her faith.  Sarah attended many local, district, and state meetings to learn as much as she could about the C.M.E. Church.  On any given day, if you called before 8:00 a.m., she would share with you her morning devotional; and the scriptures she found fascinating.  Nurturing children, aiding the elderly, serving her church, fellowshipping with friends at the Senior Center, traveling and fishing with Mrs. Ida Mae Gary were the activities that filled her with joy.

In addition, family and friends in the community know her as a woman of faith, a wisdom teacher, healer and an astute practitioner of missions.  To know her is to know her love for serving humanity.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harrison, Jr; two sons: Marvin Harrison and Reverend Troy F. Harrison; two sisters: Lillie Jane Stephens and Retha Mae Johnson; two brothers: Henry Williams, Jr. and Willie Williams; and a brother-in-law, Pastor Robert Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her dutiful daughter and son-in-law, Owillinda and Leo Brooker of Aiken, South Carolina, who were her primary caregivers during her brief illness; Her son, Matthew Harrison of College Park, MD; Daughter, Rev. S. Latrell Harrison of Clermont, FL; Loving sisters: Thelma Lee and Delphine Johnson, both of Varnville, South Carolina, Hattie Mae (Wallace) Owens of Allendale, South Carolina, Mazie L. Terry of Columbus, Ohio, and Verdell Williams of Philadelphia, PA; Daughters-in-law: Lillie Harrison of McRae, GA, and Bernice Harrison of Greenville, South Carolina;  Brothers-in-law: Willie Stephens of Islandton, South Carolina, John Lee of Tillman, South Carolina, and Chappell Johnson of Yemassee, South Carolina; Grandchildren:  Harrison C.N. Brooker of Aiken, South Carolina, Brianna T. Harrison, Travis Harrison and Troy F. Harrison, Jr., all of Greenville, South Carolina, Brentton L. Harrison of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Brittany T. Harrison o Greensboro, North Carolina, ZaQuinton M. Harrison and Tiffany Grant, both of Varnville, South Carolina, and Kedrick J. Harrison of Dublin, Ireland; A faithful and adopted daughter and niece, Tonia Colvin; An adopted son, Alfred (Linda) Joyner of Hampton, South Carolina; A special niece, Danielle Campbell; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
