Mr. Wardell Anthony Mackall, son of Mrs. Edith Mackall and the late Wardell Mackall, was born February 22, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland.  He departed his life on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in Scotland County, North Carolina.

Wardell attended Cherry Hill Elementary School and Cherry Hill Junior High School.  He furthered his education at Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School (Marvo), Senior High School, and Towson State University, all located in Maryland.  Thereafter, Wardell enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from which he retired after twenty-two years as a Gunnery Sergeant.

Preceding him in death in addition to his father (Wardell Mackall) were: a brother, Andre Garrett Mackall; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Lee Wright; and one uncle, Willie Nix, Jr.

He leaves to cherish memories, a loving and devoted wife, Lavern Mackall; Children: Jasmine Mackall of Laurinburg, North Carolina and Jerrell Mackall of RioLino, California; A grandson, Aydeen Mackall of Laurinburg, North Carolina; His mother, Edith Mackall of Baltimore, Maryland; His brothers and sister: Robert Darnell Mackall, Kevin Van Mackall, and Valerie Mackall (Jimmy Lee);  Special aunts and uncles: Robert (Jeanette) Wright and Lucius (Bonnie) Wright. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
