Mrs. Anglee J. Buckner was born March 11, 1931 in Colleton County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Raleigh and Mary M. Jamison.
She was educated in the public school of Islandton, South Carolina. At an early age, Mrs. Anglee J. Buckner joined Deep Creek Baptist Church, Islandton, South Carolina. Upon her marriage to the late Johnny Buckner, she became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Varnville.
Mrs. Anglee J. Buckner believed in being honest, kind, giving, and most of all hard and straight to the point.
For many years, she worked several jobs.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were eight (8) siblings.
To cherish many fond memories and surviving her are three sons: Prophet Kemp of California, Moses Kemp (Felicia) of Hampton, South Carolina, and Arthur Kemp, Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina; One brother, Lafette Jamison of Walterboro, South Carolina; Five sisters: Hertha Deen Jamison and Alma Pat Pendergrass, both of Detroit, Mary M. Tillery of Texas, Thelma Lee Matthews of Florida, and Missiour Harley of Orangeburg, South Carolina; There are sixteen grandchildren and great grandchildren; Other relatives and caring friends.
