Reflecting Upon His Life

     Lee Marvin Davis Jr., affectionately known as Candy Dog, son of the late Mr. Lee Marvin Davis Sr. and Mrs. Pauline Davis was born February 7, 1958 in Hampton County, South Carolina.  On Monday, July 15, 2019, life as we know it, ended on this earthly shore for Mr. Lee Marvin Davis Jr. His demise was at his home in Varnville, South Carolina. Lee Marvin died at the age of sixty-one (61).

      As a youth, he joined the Antioch Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Varnville, South Carolina.

     He was a 1977 graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, South Carolina.  Lee Marvin Davis Jr. served in the United States Army from September 1979 through May 1983, from which he was honorably discharged.

     He was united in Holy Matrimony in 1983 to the late Debra Robinson Fall.   Lee held several occupations and was known for his carpentry skills.

     Preceded him in death are:   his father, Mr. Lee Marvin Davis, Sr.; (2) Grandchildren: Aniyah Lauren Vaughan and Taniyah Ann Collins; and (1) Brother, Sgt. Vondrain L. Smith.

     To cherish fond memories are: his Daughter Felecia Davis-Vaughan of Brooklyn, New York; (7) Grandchildren, one of which he took care of, Karsyn DuBose, Elisha Vaughan, Tevan Vaughan, Ta’Quan Collins, Donta Collins Jr., Taneyah Collins and Tristan Robotham all of Brooklyn, New York; His mother, Mrs. Pauline Davis of Varnville, South Carolina; (5) Sisters: Mrs. Linda Smith (Hasting)  of Varnville, South Carolina, Mrs. Patricia Harris (Phillip) of Blythewood, South Carolina, Mrs. Sharon Brown (Harry) of Hampton, South Carolina, Mrs. Wanda Billups (David) of Adel, Georgia and Mrs. Nakia DuBose (Tommy) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; (1) Brother, Mr. Marquis Smith of Varnville, South Carolina; (4) Aunts: Mrs. Betty Lee of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Polly Moore and Mrs. Betty Henderson both of Varnville, South Carolina, and Mrs. Dorothy Wade, Savannah, Georgia; (1) Great aunt, Mrs. Cenia Mae Buckner (Dea. Joe) of Varnville, South Carolina; (3) Sisters-in-law: Ms. Georgella Striven of Varnville, South Carolina, Ms. Lisa Robinson of New York and Mrs. Sadie Fuller (Essu) of Virginia; (2) Brothers-in-Law: Mr. Randy Robinson (Val) of North Carolina and Mr. Ricky Bellamy (Christine) of Ladson, South Carolina; (14) Nieces; (12) Nephews which includes a special Nephew, Kingston Ginn (Smith); A Host of cousins, extended family members, and friends.
