Mr. Cornelius Buckner, Jr., son of Mr. Cornelius Buckner, Sr. & Mrs. Nancy Jamison Buckner, was called by his Maker on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, GA. He was born on January 30, 1982 in Hampton, SC.
Cornelius was a graduate of Ruffin High School, (Class of 2000), Ruffin, SC.
He loved football. It did not matter which team played, it just had to be the game of football!
Cornelius was employed with various companies. Most recently, he worked for A&W Construction Company of Greenville, SC and Marvin Pinckney Construction Company of Cottageville, SC.
Preceding him in death are: his paternal grandparents, Deacon Bert Buckner and Mrs. Albertha Capers Buckner; his maternal grandparents, Mr. Van Jamison and Mrs. Marie Jamison; One Aunt, Mrs. Bertha Joanne Davis; and two uncles, Mr. Anthony Buckner and Mr. Monroe Hamilton. To cherish his memories and mourn his departure is his son, Zayvoin Cornelius Buckner of Varnville, SC; his parents: Mr. Cornelius Buckner, Sr. and Mrs. Nancy Jamison Buckner of the home; his sister, Ms. Al-Keshia “Stacie” Buckner-Garland of Islandton, SC; like a brother, Mr. Shasta Randolph of Denmark, SC; his aunts: Mrs. Susan Ferguson (Mr. Cleveland) and Ms. Florine Hamilton, all of Yemassee, SC, Mrs. Rosa Mae Washington (Mr. Donald) of Walterboro, SC, Minister Carrie Capers, Evangelist Gloria Morris (Deacon Olden), Ms. Mary Alice Buckner, and Ms. Darlene Buckner, all of Islandton, SC; his uncles: Mr. Wilbur Jamison (Mrs. Earlise) of Islandton, SC, and Elder James Davis of Walterboro, SC; One great aunt, Ms. Loretta Inabinett of Walterboro, SC; two nieces: Ms. Al-Tayjaha Garland and Ms. Jameeya Garland, both of Islandton, SC; his fiancée, Makela Henderson and adopted daughter, Ziy’Kila, both of Varnville, SC; One adopted aunt, Mrs. Margie Rogers (Mr. Tyrone) of Goose Creek, SC; Other relatives and caring family friends.
