Laporsha Napiffany Brown, daughter of Mr. Harry Brown and Mrs. Sharon Brown, was born July 29, 1990 in Walterboro, South Carolina.  She was called by her Creator on Friday, December 13, 2013.

Laporsha was a 2008 graduate of Estill High School, Estill, South Carolina. She furthered her education at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina.    Laporsha served her country in the United States Army Reserve Unit at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.  She graduated from Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri on December 17, 2009, specializing as a Motor Transport Operator.  Upon receiving an honorable discharge, Laporsha pursued the career of medical service.  She received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from Technical College of the Lowcountry on May 9, 2012.

Laporsha, as a youth, became a member of Antioch Christian Church, Varnville, South Carolina. 

The joys of her life were  riding  around  in her car listening to music and going to movies.

To cherish Laporsha’s memories are her father and mother,  Harry and Sharon Brown of Estill, South Carolina; Three brothers:  Harry Lamont Brown, Shaquille Milik Brown and Taquan Brown, all of Estill, South Carolina; Two sisters: Saterria Broomfield (Richard) of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Shanequa Brown of North Carolina; Her maternal grandmother, Pauline Davis of Varnville, South Carolina; Her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Garvin of Estill, South Carolina; Six aunts: Linda Smith of Varnville, South Carolina, Patricia Harris (Phillip) of Columbia, South Carolina, Wanda Billups (David) of Germany,  Gloria Colon and  Patricia Brown,  both of Estill, South Carolina; Two uncles: Lee Marvin Davis, Jr. of Varnville, South Carolina and Harry Gross of Stanford, Connecticut;  Very special great aunts:  Virginia Doctor of Camp Branch Community of Varnville, South Carolina, Betty Lee of St. Louis, Missouri, Polly Moore of Varnville, South Carolina, and Gloria Small of Estill, South Carolina;   A very special uncle, Archie Brown of Bluffton, South Carolina;  A very special friend, Chvez Ginn of Gifford, South Carolina;   One cousin reared together as brothers, Marquis Smith of Georgia; A host of other cousins, and friends (including three devoted friends: Jarvis Lesane, Liz Bellinger and Shakira Garvin).
