Sammie Frazier was born March 15, 1950 to the late William and Lizzie Devore Frazier.  At an early age, he joined First Thankful Baptist Church in Estill, South Carolina.  He departed this life on December 2, 2013 in Estill, South Carolina.

Sammie was born and reared in Estill, South Carolina.  He was educated in Estill Public School with his seven brothers and sisters.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Leroy, John Henry and Richard Frazier.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Mazie Green of Varnville, South Carolina in 1972.  To this union three children were born, Shawn, Elliott and Christopher.

For years he was employed by Wiggins and Son Concrete Company in Estill.   He later relocated to Orangeburg, SC and worked for Sun Printing Company.  Upon his failing health, he returned to Estill.

Sammie had a love for gardening and doing landscape work.  Anyone whoever had the pleasure of having a conversation with him often heard how proud he was of his sons.

To cherish memories, he is survived by his sons: Shawn (Edith) Frazier of Chesapeake, VA; Elliott Frazier of Varnville, SC; and Christopher (Julie) Frazier of Brunson, SC; four grandchildren, Jordan, Malaki, Vivian and Brayden Frazier; sisters and brothers:  Mrs. Ethel Frazier Carter of Jamaica Queens, NY; and Miss Minnie Frazier of Estill, SC., Bennie (Sandra) of Scotia, SC, Alvin Frazier of Philadelphia, PA and sisters and brothers-in-law: Adline Frazier Williamson of Early Branch, SC, Vivian Newton, Johnnie Mae Green, Brenda Grant (Bobby) and Diane Williams, Charles Williams (Flora), Ulysee Green and Danny Joe Green all of Varnville, SC. Also two loving aunts, Pearlie Mae Newton, Minnie Devore; and a host of nieces, nephews,  cousins, and friends.
