On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, God called our beloved Bernard Robert Ready from labor to reward. Born in Hampton County, South Carolina on March 29, 1955, he was a son of Ms. Rebecca J. Ready and the late Mr. Wesley Ready.
At an early age, Bernard Robert Ready joined 2nd Thankful Missionary Baptist Church located in Pineland, South Carolina. “Bird”, as he was affectionately called, attended Estill High School, Estill, South Carolina. He had been gainfully employed as a truck driver and clinical nurse assistant for many years prior to the decline of health.
There were many, however, one of his avid enjoyments was singing gospel with various groups.
He was joined in marriage to Ms. Cynthia Hill. To this union four children were born.
To cherish his memories and mourn his home going are four children: Damita Smith of Ridgeland, South Carolina, Lademia Smith Simmons (Lee)of Beaufort, South Carolina, Arsonta Ready of Hardeeville, South Carolina and Bernard Wesley Ready, Jr. of Pineland, South Carolina; His mother, Ms. Rebecca J. Ready of Pineland, South Carolina;(3) Sisters: Linda J. Ready (Rodney Anderson) of Pineland, South Carolina, Shelia Ready of Pineland, South Carolina and Sara Ann Simmons of Beaufort, South Carolina; (1) Brother, Sylvester Ready (Joann); (10) Grandchildren; (4) Great grandchildren; (3) Aunts: Ms. Charlotte Garvin and Ms. Virginia DeLoach, both of Pineland, South Carolina and Ms. Annie Lee Ready of Pennsylvania; Numerous other relatives and friends.
