Mr. Robert Lee Doctor, 65, of the Camp Branch Community of Varnville, South Carolina received the summon from life’s toils on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Pruitt Health, Estill, South Carolina. He was born January 11, 1951 in Varnville, Hampton County, South Carolina to the late Mr. Rudolph Erwin Doctor and Mrs. Clara Moore Doctor. Robert Lee was one of ten siblings.
At an early age, he surrendered his will and became a baptized member of Antioch Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Varnville, South Carolina. Robert Lee served the body of Christ as a member of the W.M. Sanders Male Chorus and the Antioch Young Adult Choir.
He was a 1969 graduate of the former North District Training School, Varnville, South Carolina. Upon graduation, he became gainfully employed for more than twenty-five years at the former Georgia Pacific Corporation of Varnville, South Carolina.
Robert Lee enjoyed playing baseball as well as watching western shows on television.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his wife, Mrs. Joyce Odella Doctor.

Doctor, all of Varnville, South Carolina; (14) Grandchildren: Tamacia Ellis, Devante Doctor, Faith Doctor, Zy Doctor, Shania Doctor, Desirae Glover, Reniah Doctor, Hector Rakes, Jaonte Doctor, Kadasha Doctor, Savannah Doctor, Selwyn Doctor, Jr., JaLiah Doctor, and Ashton Doctor; One great grandchild; (7) Children reared as his own: Bernard Glover, Bobby Joe Glover, Clarence Glover, Markeshia Kelly, Reggie White, Dennis White, and April White; Brothers and Sisters: John Moore of Varnville, South Carolina, Thomas Reid of Yemassee, South Carolina, Gloria Ann (Deacon Tommy Lee) O’Banner of Early Branch, South Carolina, Lazarus Reid of Early Branch, South Carolina, Randolph (Tilea) Doctor of Columbia, South Carolina, Mrs. Vernell (Deacon Donald) Allen of Varnville, South Carolina, Mrs. Betty Jean (Larry) Davis of Varnville, South Carolina, Mrs. Mary Ellen (John) Green of Varnville, South Carolina, and Minister Anthony Doctor of Varnville, South Carolina; (4) Aunts: Pauline Davis, Polly Moore, and Betty Henderson, all of Varnville, South Carolina, and Betty Lee of St. Louis, Missouri; (2) Uncles: Pastor Thomas (Dorothy) Doctor, Sr. and James Capers, all of Varnville, South Carolina; His mother-in-law, Clara Lee Mickens of Varnville, South Carolina; (4) Sisters-in-law: Velma (Pastor Wayne) Carter of Fairfax, South Carolina, Alfreda Fields of Varnville, South Carolina, Cynthia (Alvin) Riley of Hampton, South Carolina, and Pastor Linda (Pastor Toyier)of Sierra Vista, Arizona; Brother-in-law, Douglas(Retha) Mickens of Varnville, South Carolina; A host of loving and devoted nieces and nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
