Mrs. Teresa Horton-Moore was born of December 28, 1970 in Hampton County, South Carolina to the late Mr. Leyland Edwards and Ms. Mary Louise Davis. She was reared in the home of Mr. Dan Horton, Jr. On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, Teresa was called from labor to reward at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina.

Mrs. Teresa Horton-Moore attended the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina.  At an early age, Teresa moved to Newark, New Jersey but later returned to Varnville, South Carolina where she lived most of her life.

She was a very quiet individual, yet very outspoken when voicing her opinion.  She was married to Mr. Jan Lee Moore.

Her everlasting memories will be forever cherished by her husband, Mr. Jan Lee Moore of Varnville, S.C.; (5) Sons: Shyheed Horton, DaShawn Horton, FuQuan Harris, Shurod Harris, and  Zione Harris, all of Varnville, S.C.;  (3) Daughters: Rayonna Harris, DiNeesha Harris and Taraji Harris, all of Varnville, S.C.; (2) Step children: Antwann (Tennile) Moore of Columbia, S.C. and LaVonda Dobson of Brunson, S.C.; (6) Grandchildren:  Tamiah, Cimarri, Jaishon, Antwann, Iverson and Jaida; Her father, Dan Horton, Jr. of Newark, N.J.; (4) Sisters: Diane (Addul Al-Shakir) Kinyatta of Newark, N.J., Denise (Adrian) Scott of Varnville, S.C., Denise (Johnny) Robinson of Hampton, S.C. and Sandra Barnwell of Early Branch, S.C.; (6) Brothers: Reginald Horton and Kelvin Horton, both of Varnville, S.C., Jimmie Lee Edwards of Bamberg, S.C., Tony Edwards of Washington, D.C., Darryl Edwards of Allendale, S.C. and James Edwards of N.Y.; (5) Aunts: Liza Thompson of Cummings, S.C., Barbara Ann (Frank) Mixson of Varnville, S.C., Margaret (Joe) Mole of Hampton, S.C., Wohlen Thorton of VA., and Karen (Jasper) Scott of Hampton, S.C., (4) Sisters-in-law: Pearlie Mae (Tony) Chandler of Newark, N.J., Lillie P.
