Ms. Dorothy Lawler, 91, of 105 Furman-Nixville Parkway, Estill, South Carolina quietly completed her earthly journey and was joined with her husband, Elder William Lawler on March 4, 2013.

Born February 5, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Mrs. Florence Grove Griffin and Mr. Vincent Griffin. She was one of four daughters: Ms. Marion Foley of Walterboro, South Carolina, Ms. Margaret (Mitzi) Valenti of Naples, Florida, and Ms. Florence (Babe) Zawislak, who preceded her in death.

A lover of God, people and laughter, Dorothy reached out to young and old alike. Besides joining her husband in a weekly nursing home ministry for over 30 years, you could find her regularly performing as a clown for area children's parties and parades.

She was fun-loving and generous and left an impression on all who knew her. She was honored to be a member of Nixville Church of God, Nixville, South Carolina.

She was blessed with two sons: Mr. John Viola of Dalton, Pennsylvania, and Mr. Vincent Viola of Hampton, South Carolina. Dorothy also had (10) grandchildren: Deborah Lanton of Dalton, Pennsylvania, David Viola of Massena, New York, Kathryn Weisenfluh of Taylor, Pennsylvania, Jeffrey Viola of Port Richey, Florida, Jayne Zeranski of Dover, Delaware, Jacqueline Reed of Concord, Ohio, Natalie Artibee, Debbie Braun and Chris Blythe, all of Denver, Colorado, and Scott Trombley of Hampton, South Carolina; (16) great-grandchildren; and (11) great-great grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered.
