The Obituary

Ghazi Abdul Duckett, 24, of Varnville, South Carolina, passed away on March 25, 2018.  He was born on April 11, 1993 to parents, Jannie Duckett and Victor Duckett. 

Ghazi was educated in the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina.  He was a respectable, loving young man who brought life to everyone around him.  He enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoying dancing and cracking jokes.  He also enjoyed family and friends.  His greatest joy was the birth of his son, Marely Adonis Breland, whom he loved with all his being. 

Ghazi was deeply loved and will be missed by many family members and friends.

He is survived by his son, Marely Adonis Breland of Dothan, Alabama; His mother, Jannie Duckett of Hampton, South Carolina; His fathers, Victor Duckett of Aiken, South Carolina and Alec Breland, Sr. of Staten Island, New York; Three brothers: Alec (Kawan) Breland of Walterboro, South Carolina, Tony (Lashanda) Breland of Hardeeville, South Carolina, and Anthony Duckett of Jacksonville, Florida; One sister, Yashia Whitehead of Staten Island, New York; Two nieces: Alysis Breland and Jaliyah Breland; Five nephews: Jeremiah Breland, Jareese Breland, Dayvon Breland, Justice Breland, and Jamal Whitehead; His grandfather, Harvey Duckett; His grandmother, Vivian Breland; A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
