Ms. Margaret Grant Sutton died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Memorial Health Medical Center, Savannah, Georgia. Born February 9, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Deacon Leonard Grant, Sr. and Mrs. Izella Moore-Grant.
As a youth, Margaret became a baptized member of Antioch Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Varnville, South Carolina, where she worshipped and demonstrated her love for the Lord as a choir member.
Margaret attended Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, South Carolina and was previously employed by Hampton School District One. She later entered the food service industry as a Deli manager with Winn-Dixie and Food Lion Service.
She was a beautiful soul with a loving spirit and a kind and loving heart. Everyone who knew her loved her.
In addition to her parents, five siblings preceded her in death: Floyd Grant, Oretha Joyner, Mack Grant, Carolyn Grant-Davis, and John Grant. Margaret will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
To mourn her homegoing are (3) Children: Tiffany Sutton of Rincon, Georgia, Corey Sutton (Teresa) of Wahiawa, Hawaii and Navonne Shiggs (Andrew) of Bluffton, South Carolina; (7) Grandchildren: Brittany Sutton of Columbia, South Carolina, Kevron, Derrick, and Jaden, all of Bluffton, South Carolina, Corey, Jr., Amaya, and Imani Sutton, all of Wahiawa, Hawaii; (1) Sister, Lumisha Grant of St. Helena Island, South Carolina; (2) Brothers: Leonard Grant, Jr. of Brooklyn, New York and Willie James Grant of Varnville, South Carolina; (1) Loving aunt, Rozella Howard; ( 3) Sisters-in-law: Deborah Grant of Varnville, South Carolina, Janelle Grant of Brooklyn, New York and Hilda Grant of Hampton, South Carolina; (1) Brother-in-law, Johnnie Lee Joyner of Hampton, South Carolina; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sympathizing friends, which includes special friends Mrs. Loretta Brown and Ms. Izella Eckford.
