Brooklyn, New York -  Lynette Denise Capers was called home on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 11:05 P.M. at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.  She was born to the late John "Shorty" Capers and Lois Weiters-Capers on August 19, 1969 in Saint Mary Hospital, Brooklyn, New York.

Lynette Denise Capers grew up in Brooklyn, New York where she attended the public schools.  She graduated from George W. Wingate High School and was attending LaGuardia Community College at the time of her passing.  Lynette accepted Christ into her life at an early age.

She was employed through a private agency which enabled her to work as a cafeteria worker in the New York City School System.  She served faithfully there until her untimely passing.

Lynette leaves to cherish her memory: Her devoted daughter, Raven Anika Zaire McFadden of Brooklyn, New York; (2) Sisters: Valeria Anne Capers and Annette Elizabeth Capers, both of Brooklyn, New York; (1) Nephew, Jaden AnJay Jonah Knights; (1) Niece, Jannae Elizabeth Knights; A special mention of Darlene Monique Nakia Bradshaw, who was a niece to her in her heart of hearts; (7) Aunts: Mrs. Mary Alice Devine of Harleyville, South Carolina, Mrs. Evelyn Weiters of Saint George, South Carolina, Mrs. Martha Romey of Islandton, South Carolina,  Ms. Elizabeth Capers of Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Edith Mae Wright of Bronx, New York, Evangelist Ivory Capers of Hampton, South Carolina and Mrs. Mary Capers of Islandton, South Carolina; (3) Uncles: Deacon Sam Capers of Hampton, South Carolina, Mr. James Romey of Islandton, South Carolina and Mr. Willie Wright of Bronx, New York; (4) Great aunts: Mrs. Martha Gordon of Savannah, Georgia, Ms. Earlee Wrice and Ms. Ella H. Buckner, both of Islandton, South Carolina and Mrs. Anna Clara Capers of Miami, Florida; Numerous cousins, friends, co-workers, and associates.
