For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  II Corinthians 5:1

On Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., Mr. Harry Mole was called home at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

He was born on April 7, 1936 in Hampton, South Carolina to the late Sylvester & Corine Lingard Mole. Harry was educated in the public schools of Hampton, South Carolina. He furthered his education upon enlisting in the United States Army, serving his country as a Marksman, Sharpshooter, and Motor Vehicle driver.

He was united into holy matrimony to the former Doris Robinson; to this union came the blessings of three wonderful children.  At an early age, he joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Varnville, South Carolina and later joined Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church with his beloved wife.  At Deep Creek, he served faithfully and dutifully as a choir member.

Harry Mole was employed with J.P. Stevens of Walterboro, South Carolina for over thirty years.  Thereafter, he became employed by the Colleton Recycling Company at the Islandton, South Carolina facility.

He, with a passion for fishing, thought that he and Lennon Mears were bass pro champions.  The kindness that filled his heart was demonstrated as he extended a hand to anyone in need.  Harry was a quiet man who shunned confusion, and loved his grands and great grands with all his heart.

Preceding him in death was: One sister, Sadie Grant; Three brothers: Sylvester Mole, Jr., Roy Mole, and Oriee Mole.

Harry Mole leaves to cherishing his memories: His lovely wife, Doris Mole of the home; two sons:  Harry (Shirley) Mole and Vondez (Rachael) Mole, both of Charleston, South Carolina; a daughter, Avis Moultrie of Islandton, South Carolina; a god-daughter, Altovis (James) Gamble of Varnville, South Carolina;  two sisters: Christine Freeman of New Burg, New York and Corine Tyler of Hampton, South Carolina; six sisters-in-law: Oris Buckner and Ellen Capers, both of Islandton, South Carolina, Ruthie Williams and Gennett Youmans, both of Hampton, South Carolina, Margie (James) Fennell of Yemassee, South Carolina and Barbara (Isaiah) Doctor of Varnville, South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Norris Grant of Hampton, South Carolina; seven grands: Nicholas, Devin, Jared, Jordan, Christina, Desmond, and Devon; three great grands: Alyanna, Nicholas and Aubrei; He was respected and lovingly known as Uncle Harry to a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
