Mr. Andrew Lee Lingard Sr., following an extended illness, entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2023 at his residence in Varnville, South Carolina. He was born on February 12, 1946 in Varnville, Hampton County, South Carolina. Andrew was the son of the late Mr. Sidney Lingard and Mrs. Ethel Mae Priester Lingard. 

At an early age, he joined the congregation of Antioch Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Varnville, South Carolina. He served faithfully until his health declined.   Andrew was educated in the public schools of Hampton County and had been previously employed for many years at the former Westinghouse Micarta Division, Hampton, South Carolina. 

He loved fishing, family cook outs and working in his yard. 

Andrew was preceded in death by four brothers: Mr. Henry Lingard, Mr. Richard Lingard, Mr. Franklin Lingard and Mr. David Cochran; two sisters: Mrs. Girlie Hudson and Albertha Lingard Brown. 

He leaves to cherish many wonderful memories of his life to his loving wife of the home, Mrs. Iola Lingard; His children, three sons: Anthony (Teresa) Lingard of Hinesville, GA, Angelo Lingard of Varnville, SC, and Andrew Lingard Jr. of Atlanta, GA; One daughter, Elizabeth Mae (Stephone) Maxwell of Varnville, SC; Three sisters: Gereacher Outing and Maggie Robinson, both of Varnville, SC and Lennis Grant of Brooklyn, New York; Three sisters-in-law: Dora Lingard and Peola Wiley, both of Varnville, SC and Martha Dunbar of Williston, SC; Three aunts: Lizzie Young of Barnwell, South Carolina, Alice Scott and Polly Bryant both of Hampton, SC; Seven grandchildren: Stephone Jr., Cody, Anthonisha, Sharmaine, Anthony, Amelia and Angelique; Two great-grandchildren: Ava Winston and Sudarien Smith; Special cousins: Raymond and Ella Lingard of St. Louis MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
