Robert L. Brantley, son of the late Mr. Ollie and Mrs. Pearl Brantley, was born in Hampton County, SC on April 2, 1962.  He was called home to rest on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, SC. 

Robert was a faithful member of Efferson Missionary Baptist Church, Nixville Community of Estill, SC.  He served on the Male Chorus and Trustee Board for several years. 

He was educated in the public school system of Hampton County, SC. Upon graduation, Robert earned a Plumbing Degree/License and was employed by Butler Plumbing of Bluffton, SC for several years.   He was also a plumbing supervisor for sixteen years in Tikrit, Iraq. 

Robert was an avid sports fan.  His teams were the Los Angeles Lakers (basketball) and Miami Dolphins (football).  Other interests included being a member of MIB Motorcycle Club (known as “Mr. Kool”) and watching television shows such as Bonanza, Gun Smoke and other shows.  

“Robert” was married to the former Ms. Sharon Davis; two daughters were born to this union. 

Preceding him in death are his parents: Mr. Ollie and Mrs. Pearl Brantley; and a brother, Roy Brantley. 

To cherish memories are: His wife, Pastor Sharon Brantley and (2) Daughters, Kirsten S. and Kirisma T. Brantley, all of Houston, TX; (2) Devoted sisters: Ms. Pearlie Brantley of Nixville, SC and Mrs. Elnora (Mr. John) Newton of Lena, SC; (4) Brothers: Elder Coy (Mrs. Earlene) Brantley of Furman, SC, Mr. Harrison (Mrs. Naomi) Brantley of Maplewood, NJ, Mr. Willingham (Mrs. Jeanette) Brantley  of Ridgeland, SC, and a devoted brother, Mr. James (Mrs. Grace) Brantley of Pineland, SC; A sister-in-law,  Mrs. Gwendolyn Jones of Pineland, SC; (4) Aunts: Ms. Leola Gordon and Ms. Louise Williams, both of Nixville, SC, Mrs. Addie (Mr. Frances) Haynes of Nixville, South Carolina and Ms. Jeanette Sullivan of Allendale, SC; A devoted nephew (god-son), Pastor James Brantley, Jr.;  Special cousins: Deacon Kenny Gordon, Mrs. Ruthie Furman, Mr. LeVern Cohen, and Ms. Francina Orr; A special and devoted friend, Mr. Elliott Wright; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
