Varnville-Home Going Service for Ms. Francina Moore, 102, of 464 Mill Pond Road, will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010, 2:00 P.M. at Antioch Christian Church, Varnville, South Carolina. Committal, final prayer and interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pastor Freddie Lawton, Sr. is officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, August 13, 2010 from 6-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Washington’s Funeral Home of Hampton has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Ms. Moore died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at UniHealth Post Acute Care of the Lowcountry, Estill, South Carolina. She was born in Hampton County, South Carolina to the late Mr. Moses and Mrs. Henrietta Priester. She was educated in the Public School System of Hampton County, South Carolina.
At an early age, Ms. Moore confessed Christ and became a baptized member of Antioch Christian Church, Varnville, South Carolina.
She was joined in marriage to the late Mr. Roosevelt Moore; this union was blessed with three children. Two children preceded her in death: Mr. Fred Moore and Mr. Ernest Moore. Two grandchildren also preceded her in death: Mr. Lavander Moore and Mrs. Charlene Davis.
To cherish memories are: Her daughter, Ms. Rosena Lingard of Varnville, South Carolina; (2) Daughters-in-law: Ms. Sarah Hunt and Ms. Richardlene Moore, both of Varnville, South Carolina; (10) Grandchildren: Mr. Raymond Lingard (Mrs. Ella), Mr. Richmond Lingard (Mrs. Angie), all of St. Louis, Mo., Evangelist Georgia Mole (Mr. O’Neal) and Mrs. Evelyn Wrice (Mr. Reginald), all of Islandton, South Carolina, Evangelist Ernest Moore, Jr. and Mr. Norris Moore (Mrs. Janice), all of Florida, Ms. Rose Banks (Mr. Jack), Ms. Debra Ann Capers, Minister Frances Jenkins (Mr. Johnny), all of Varnville, South Carolina, Ms. Sarah McClendon of Atlanta, Georgia; A host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren; Other relatives and friends.
