Varnville- Funeral service for Mrs. Everee Coker Crosson, 65, of 136 Sierra Coker Express will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hampton, South Carolina. Interment will be conducted in Harmonia Cemetery, Varnville, South Carolina.
The family is receiving of friends at the residence located at 136 Sierra Coker Express, Varnville, South Carolina. Washington’s Funeral Home of Hampton is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Everee Coker Crosson, affectionately known as “Doog”, was born in Hampton County, South Carolina on November 24, 1944. She died on September 26, 2010 in her home, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Crosson was the youngest daughter of the late Deacon John and Mrs. Roberta Coker. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was one brother, Mr. John Harold Coker. She attended public schools in Hampton County and graduated from the former North District Training School, Varnville, South Carolina. On June 23, 1963, she was joined in marriage to Mr. Roosevelt Crosson.
She became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 13, 1977. There she served faithfully until her death. Left to share fond memories are her husband of forty-seven (47) years, Mr. Roosevelt Crosson of the home; (5) Children: Mrs. Laraine Brown (Mr. Stanley) of St. Helena Island, South Carolina, Mrs. Earthadean Tholl (Mr. Robert) of Beaufort, South Carolina, Mr. Michael Crosson of Varnville, South Carolina, Mrs. Denise Littlejohn (Mr. Gary) of Bluffton, South Carolina and Mr. Antwoine Crosson of Columbia, South Carolina; (8) Grandchildren: Joshua DeLoach, Tamia Brown, Savannah Littlejohn, Jayden Williams, Aryanna Pierce, Antwoine Pierce, Michelle Crosson, and Gabrielle Gordon; (1) Sister, Ms. Georgia L. Bennett of Varnville, South Carolina; (1) Brother, Deacon Mervin Coker, Sr. (Mrs. Thelma) of Varnville, South Carolina; (1) Aunt, Ms. Florrie P. Thompson of Varnville, South Carolina; (3) Brothers-in-law: Mr. Ezell Crosson (Mrs. Mary) and Mr. Carlton Crosson, all of Hemstead, New York and Mr. Isaac Bennett of Varnville, South Carolina; A special friend and cousin, Mr. Willie Floyd Coker, Sr. of Varnville, South Carolina; Special care giving niece and grand niece, respectively, Mrs. Linda Jones and Ms. Latrell Murdaugh, both of Varnville, South Carolina; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
